a) Overview of System & Market Requirements For the health sector & retail sectors with multiple branches, its important to cost their labour to the right cost centres using proper time & attendance tracking. Such sectors have many instances of fraud and buddy punching such that these large organizations are paying for hours that labourers do not work or too much overtime hours being paid. There is a need for a Enterprise-wide biometric system that can be deployed at all branches and collect up-to-date time & attendance data logs which is to be sent to the HQ for processing by their payroll system so that proper work hours can be calculated. b) System SolutionsIDLink uses mainly the PalmVein Recognition for hospitals and the IDLink VPro for retail outlets. Our IDCube system can support both technologies on a single platform. All the devices are placed at remote clocking locations and the user registration or biometric data can be collected at various designated points with the IDCube Desktop enrollment kits. The users normally use RF or Pin plus Biometrics to Clock In or Clock Out. Once done, the Clock In or Out data is sent immediately on-line to the IDCube central database. Upon collection of raw Clock In and Out data transactions, these transactions can be used for work hour calcuations using IDLink’s Time & Attendance software or 3rd party Time & Attendance software. The solution using PalmVein verification technology works well for the health sector as it is contactless and hygienic. As for the IDLink VPro, the device takes up a very small space and can be flushed into the wall to take up minimum space at the retail outlets. The system allows for all clocks time to be synchronized with a Time server at the central HQ. The system also collects heart beat of all devices to check whether the devices are up and running. Nurses can go to any level at the hospital branch to clock In and Out their attendance. There is minimum false accept and false reject rates and this system seamlessly works well with the backend payroll system. IDLink has replaced all their traditional RF Card T&A clocks with our PalmVein biometric system. ii) Mydin Malaysia is using both PalmVein authentication as well as Fingerprint authentication for their Hypermarts and minimart retail outlets. The HQ Hypermart is installed with PalmVein clocks and it authenticates about > 6000 staffs daily for over 4 years. All data is collected using our IDCube Management System.
